FROM THE FAMILY ALBUM No.1

Occasionally I intend to publish pictures from my collection of family photos. These will be from all periods of our family story and the only criteria will be that they are interesting pictures.  If you have any interesting pictures that you think might be interesting to other members of our clan - particularly pre-1960 vintage I'd certainly consider them. So get out those old photos. For my first selection I have chosen a personal one. This is me and cousin Sue photographed on our first day at school.  The picture was taken in the garden of 44 Pemberton Gardens, Upper Holloway, London, Sue's grandad's house. Remember those Runner Beans, Sue?

  2. This is one of my favourite photos of us, Ernest! Yes! I do remember the runner beans and splitting peas on the back step, eating more than ever went in the pot. I also remember my grandad's workshop/shed in the corner of the garden. He made lots of my toys in there including, Toby, my dapple grey rocking horse. I remember it smelled of putty and woodshavings.

  3. Do you remember another photo with you dressed as a flower (I think) and me as a Red Indian for some sort of school fancy dress party?
