NEWS FROM THE SEAFRONT

My late partner Terry's son Mark has been negotiating with Southend Council for about two years now to have a bench situated on the cliffs above the cliff gardens overlooking Southend Seafront in memory of his mum. He was told that there would be at least a two year waiting list and true to their word it looks like it is going to happen in the not too distant future. This will mean that Terry will have two memorials in Southend - one in St.Alban's Church where she worshipped for many years and the bench where we used to walk our dogs every day. The photographs below show the view from the exact spot where the bench will stand.

  3. Brilliant! I often look at the names on donated seats and wonder about them. What a lovely idea, and such a beautiful spot.
