Here's something that I've been keeping secret! It is a companion blog to THE BAYLISS LINE. It is not directly about people in our family but they will be mentioned frequently. Called DOWN THESE STREETS the new blog is about the places they lived, about the actual streets and the city of London itself. I will be using my own words and quoting the words of others and there will be lots of pictures.
You will find there a list of recommended books about London and London life and as more things are added there will be a list of films that best illustrate the metropolis. Watch out Peter Ackroyd!!!! This sounds like a great idea for a blog and I certainly look forward to it. For those of us who will probably never get to London, this should be an extremely valuable site. Best of luck and I can't wait to see what you have planned for us all!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks. Hope it lives up to expectations - mine as well as yours! I think it is going to involve a bit of walking the streets. The first real post will probably be next meek and will deal with Holloway Road. I'd very much like to do one on Clerkenwell where I was born. I passed through the area on a bus and it looks like there was a lot of interesting places.
