WHERE ARE WE NOW ?

Well I see from the counter gadget in the sidebar that the blog has now passed the 7,300 viewing figure!  I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed writing the story of our family and if you've enjoyed reading it I feel its all been worth it.  But, of course, there is a long way to go yet.
Coming soon will be an article on Arthur Bayliss followed by the two youngest of my aunts and uncles - Esther and Stanley.  I found writing about my aunts and uncles a rather daunting prospect because there are so many of you that remember them and loved them. I hope I've done them justice. I am particularly gratified that the blog is getting a modest following among people who are not relatives.

At the moment I'm taking a little break from THE BAYLISS LINE before starting the article on Arthur, but I'm not being lazy as I'm currently writing the first article for the companion blog, DOWN THESE STREETS.  I'm not sure yet whether it is going to be a one or two part article. Also I'm currently preparing a Virtual War Memorial for members of our extended family who perished during the two great wars of 1914 - 18 and 1939 - 45. This will also include recognition of all known family members who also served in uniform and survived the war. I'll  announce it as soon as it is ready.
